Arwen was a BIG girl yesterday

While at the base for Lexi's 2 week check up we took the girls into the immuzation room to get their flu shots, they said they could have the mist since they were old enough, so they were happy about that, but Arwen needed a shot for her second Hep A and they did it in the arm this time and she did not cry or even whimper. She was such a big girl with it.

2 week check up

Lexi had her 2 week check up at the base yesterday. She was 7lbs 7 oz and 20 3/4 inches, so that means she has grown a little.

The doctor said that she looked good, still a little yellow but its going away and her right eye's tear duct is still closed, something we knew after having Arwen's do the same thing.

She also had to have her second PKU test done afterwards at the hospital, that went good.

I will post more pictures later today after I get some school work done. She stayed awake yesterday for over 3 hours, the longest time so far. She is a lot more aleart and is trying to smile and will roll off the shoulder into your arms to lay on her back.

Life in the house

Things are going pretty good with our new addition. Lexi does not care one bit that the girls are running around yelling. She is not a loud cryer and does not cry very often. She also settles down very fast after she starts crying.
Lexi is feeding every 3-4 hours sometimes she will feed after 2 hours, but that seems to be more at night and not during the day. I most of the time have to wake her during the day to eat since she will sleep all day if I let her. She is still a bit yellow, but the doctor said that should go away after time with more feedings and more time in the sun.

The girls are loving having a baby sister around the house, They are always giving her kisses and watching her sleep and eat. They come in the room first thing to see her.

I have been doing good. I have been having a bit of back problems after that crappy back labor, but I am sure it will ease off after a while and after I get an adjustment done. I have so far lost about 15 pounds in 6 days and I only gained 17 pounds during the pregnancy. I won't do any working out until after my 6 weeks check up that will be near the end of March, but we are doing a little walking to the local park for the girls when its warm. Today was a warm day, but i won't take both girls and lexi all by myself to the park which is about 3 or so blocks away by the creek.

Lexi has her 2 weeks check up on Feb. 27th at the base, we will post how that goes!

Lexi is here!!!!

Ok well we finally had Lexi at 12:11 pm today. She was 7 pounds 2 ounces and 20 inches long.
I can now say for sure without a doubt that back labor should NOT be done natural!!!!!!!

We were allowed to go home today and got home at about 10pm, the shortest stay in the hospital after having a baby, but so glad, I may actually get good sleep when she is not hungry and wanting to eat. My bed is so much nicer than that of the hospital.

Here are a few pictures that we got of her.

Update on Lexi and her birth

We went to my appt yesterday and was placed on a stress test to see how she was doing since she had not been moving much. He heart rate dropped really low from the 170's to the 120's after strong contractions in a row, so I was sent to the hospital to have contractions induced stronger to see if she had the same reaction, if so he would have taken her then, but they tried the pit drip and it actually stopped my contractions, ODD I know!! Once they stopped the drip, my contractions picked right back up, but she did fine, so they sent me home after being there for 6 hours.
I go back Wednesday at 3:30 pm to be induced, the only drawback is that my family will be here only until that Saturday morning, so I will have someone here to watch the girls while giving birth, but then everyone leaves shortley afterwards.
We do not know when the next round of family will be coming into town to visit, so I guess we will get to know what its like to be home alone with a newborn for the first time!

We will post pictures after I have her and post all the other details. If I happen to go before then we will post that also.

baby update

We see the doctor on Friday @ 11am if I make it to then. he will do what he can to help me along at that point. I have been having contractions again since last night at 7pm and they started off kinda weak and got stronger through out the night up to this morning. They are pretty good ones now and It feels as if hse is moving more into my pelvis with all the pain I feel in the pelvis. its like she is grinding on the bones!

We hope that my body just gets going good and does not stop. So far I am getting lucky, but then again, they could just fizzle out due to the inablility to dialate very well, and that is why I end up getting a little help like I did with the other girls, but we will see.

She will be here SOON!! If the doctor helps me out on Friday we should with the way my body is doing have a baby by the 16th

Arwen's update - Broken Toe

Arwen is doing very good. Her toe is looking better and we think that she may be able to keep her toe nail, its not looking like it will fall off yet. She is moving around pretty good and only has complaints when she has been up and around for too long.

Greg's update

He saw the doctor last week and was cleared. The doctor said that everything was healing very nice and that he could go back to doing what ever he wanted to do, but to watch it still for a bit since the mesh plate is still healing.
